Partner to Beautify the Miami River Greenway

South River Drive, José Martí Park to NW 1

 

(Miami, FL) – An estimated 80 University of Miami students and Miami River District Apartments partnered with the Miami River Commission on Saturday, October 29, 11 am to 1 pm, to beautify the Miami River Greenway along South River Drive, from José Martí Park to the NW 1st Street.

Volunteers meet at 10 SW South River Drive. Activities included: painting, planting 100 new plants along the Miami River Greenway, removing litter and weeds, and spreading mulch made of recycled wood.

The MRC thanked all the volunteers and generous in-kind sponsors.
